Since snoring is more than just an annoying habit, more and more people are realizing that it is not something they can ignore. The negative consequences of snoring, medical or social, have caused them to try different ways to stop snoring.

Even though snoring can be stopped naturally, some snorers choose to use certain anti-snoring devices. For snorers that have practiced other alternatives to end snoring but nothing works, below are some anti-snoring products that are often used:

1. Anti-Snoring Pillow

Sona Anti-Snoring Pillow

A stop snoring pillow is created so that snorers can keep the neck and jaw at the appropriate angles so snoring can be prevented.

This kind of pillow can be used to help you sleep on your side to avoid the tongue from falling back like what happens when you sleep on your back.

What’s not good about using the pillow is because you may have some difficulties of getting used to sleeping with it.

Some people are even not able to sleep because they just don’t feel comfortable at all using this specific kind of pillow.

2. Chin Strap

Chin strap helps keep the jaw closed when sleeping. This way, the breathing airway will not be restricted so that snoring won’t occur. Chin strap can also help reduce mouth leaks.

Although chin straps are designed to give the least amount of pressure and discomfort, wearing one may still be uncomfortable for some people.

3. Nasal Dilators

If the cause of the snoring is the nose, then it can be prevented by using nasal dilators. It is because they are created to open the nasal passage so that the airflow through the nose will be improved.

The negative side of nasal dilators is usually the size that may not fit everyone.

4. Nasal Strips

Another device to prevent nasal snoring is the nasal strips. They can help stop snoring by opening the nasal passage if placed across the nose.

Although it is easy to use, if your nose is a bit damp the strip may not be able to adhere. If you’re looking for one, a popular brand for nasal strips is Breathe Right.

5. Anti-Snoring Mouth Piece

Mouth Piece

When sleeping, an anti-snoring mouth piece can be used to help keep the air passage open. The device works by inducing the tongue and lower jaw to a slightly more forward position, so that snoring can be reduced or stopped.

However, snorers often feel uncomfortable wearing a mouth piece as it may become difficult to swallow when one is trying to get to sleep.
