3 “Weird” Tips that Can Help Reduce Snoring

Bookmark and Share

OK, so these tips may not be weird, but many people may not realize them as they only rely on anti-snoring devices (chin strap, etc). So what are the 3 tips? Check out below.

1. Walking regularly

Douglas Bradley from the Sleep Research Laboratory of the Toronto Research Institute states that when a snorer sits too much, fluid will gather in the legs. When sleeping, the fluid may float up the throat if the snorer is lying. Therefore, walking regularly can help reduce the fluid to reduce snoring.

2. Singing

Yes, singing your favorite songs may actually put an end to snoring. Why is that? It is because you are toning your upper throat muscles to be stronger! That’s why Christian Goodman was able to stop snoring completely from his exercise program that was initially inspired by his singing-teacher wife.

Another thing that can have the same effect is playing didgeridoo. According to a study published by the British Medical Journal, didgeridoo players can reduce snoring and sleep disturbance after regularly playing the instrument.

3. Not being stressed out

Does stress have anything to do with snoring?

You bet. Being stressed out affects your breathing, which causes snoring. In addition, stress will cause you to have a bad sleeping pattern which may lead to other problems including weight gain (being obese can block the breathing airway). Practice some relaxation techniques to manage your stress, and you may prevent snoring.
